East London enjoys a balmy climate, with few extremes in temperature and is generally sunny and pleasant. Winters usually mild even with occasional snow falls on the mountain ranges of the Cape and Natal and occasionally in the lower-lying areas. • Aquarium & Queens Park Zoo - The aquarium hosts 400 species of marine life, and a child favourite seal show. The zoo has various mammals and reptiles.
  
• Lock Street Gaol - This prison, built in 1880, is now host to various interesting shops
  
• Calgary Transport Museum - Only 13 km from the city, you can view a Gypsy Caravan and an assortment of wagons
  
• Latimer's Landing - waterfront development on the Buffalo River with restaurants and pubs. Boat trips up the river are available and Yacht trips and Pleasure cruises can be arranged.
